DOTD announced last month that Verot School Road from Camellia Boulevard to Polly Drive will be reduced to one lane for continued construction projects.
That construction began on Thursday, April 25 and will continue until Thursday, May 9, 2019. This closure will allow crews to make repairs to the concrete paving associated with the widening of Verot School Road.
Officials say the closure is necessary in order to make repairs to the concrete paving that did not meet the standards required by the contract specifications. Workers will be on site at various times during the day and at night. The lane closures may also shift from the inside lane to the outside lane and will be in both directions.
The main travel lanes will be affected for the first two weeks and the middle lane will be affected for approximately one week.
The road will be open to regular traffic with a 12-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area.
