Alix Basden, who now is a student at Notre Dame University, finished in second place with $5,600 and took home $2,000.

The show airs at 3:30 p.m. weekdays on KATC.

According to her university’s website, Basden is a member of the Executive Cabinet of the Student Government Association. She’s an International Economics major with a concentration in French. She describes herself as a “proud Lafayette High Gifted Program grad.”

“The experience was incredible, and all-around positive and uplifting. It was really fun because it taped on my 19th birthday,” Basden tells KATC. “The whole Jeopardy! team is incredible, and I am very grateful to all of them for creating such a great atmosphere.”
