Many Christians across Acadiana celebrated Easter today.
It’s the most solemn and important holiday in the Christian calendar: the day where Christians mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion.
Parishioners at St. Jules Catholic Church welcomed the holiday with a Mass this morning.
And over at the Bayou Church, music and a message were used to honor the holiday. Hundreds of people packed the church in their Sunday best to celebrate the holiday.
