There’s nothing like fried fish during Lent. What’s even better is eating fried fish during Lent for a good cause.
Organizers with the Middlebrook Foundation are serving fried fish plates in the parking lot of Edie’s until 1 p.m.
Proceeds from the fish fry will benefit the Middlebrook Foundation.
The foundation was started in the wake of Corporal Michael Middlebrook’s death. He was killed in the line of duty.
According to the foundation’s website, it aims to honor the the life and sacrifice of Corporal Middlebrook and to continue his mission of helping the poor and less fortunate in Lafayette.
