Vermilionville will celebrate Earth Day 2019 on Sunday, April 14 at the Vermilionville Living History Museum & Folklife Park in Lafayette. The venue is located at 300 Fisher Road.

The event will highlight individual organizations that are engaged in promoting stewardship practices that work to preserve and protect Earth, according to a release.

Celebrations begin at 10:00 am and will continue until 4:00 pm. Admission is free.

Organizers say the day will be filled with activities focused on education and recreation. Those activities include kids’ crafts, yoga class, clothing swap station, canoeing, tree give-a-ways, and musical performances among others.

Food will be provided, for a small fee, at La Cuisine de Maman.

The celebration will take place regardless of weather conditions, according to organizers.
