Lafayette Police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting that left two people hospitalized.
That shooting happened Tuesday afternoon around 4:30 at a gas station on Moss Street near Castille Ave.
A spokesperson for the Lafayette Police Department says that a physical altercation led to the shooting. Two people were injured and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say Xavier Batiste turned himself in on Tuesday night in connection to the shooting. He was arrested and booked on two counts of attempted first-degree murder. His bond is set at $250,000.
Lafayette Police are still searching for another suspect involved. Police did not identify that suspect.
