BROUSSARD, La. – A Broussard couple is behind bars accused of molestation charges.
Phillip Trosclair, 68, and Brenda Trosclair, 65, were arrested on Monday for the charge of molestation of a juvenile under 13 years of age, according to Chief Brannon Decou, Broussard Police Department.
On April 03, 2019, officers with the Broussard Police Department were contacted by medical staff in reference to a child molestation complaint of a four-year-old girl. At the time of the complaint, there was medical evidence present as well as disclosure by the victim as to who the suspects were, stated Decou.
The Broussard Police Department, in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Child and Family services, investigated this complaint resulting in the children being placed into State custody and the issuance of arrest warrants for the suspects.
The Trosclairs were arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail.
Phillip’s bond is set at $450,000, and Brenda’s is $350,000.
