Police: Suspect still ‘at large’ in Louisiana Ave. homicide

The suspect in the Louisiana Avenue homicide is still wanted.

Lafayette Police say a warrant was issued for 20-year-old Taveon Malik Leary of Lafayette on a charge of Second-degree murder.

22-year-old Kenderick Flugence Jr. was killed in that shooting on Sunday, March 24 at the Mon Chateau apartment complex on Louisiana Avenue.

The Lafayette Police Department is reminding the public that anyone found to be aiding, preventing apprehension or harboring Leary will be placed under arrest for the appropriate offense upon his capture.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Leary is urged to call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
