Project Front Yard is reminding Lafayette residents that they can take part in 35th annual Trash Bash happening Saturday for the Bayou Vermilion.
The annual clean-up event will take place from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 6. Participants are asked to meet at the Begnaud House across from the Beaver Park Pavilion at 500 Fisher Road at 8:00 am.
Supplies including gloves, litter bags, litter grabbers and high-visibility vests will be provided.
There is no cost to participate and Project Front Yard says that the first 100 volunteers will receive a free t-shirt.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own watercraft to help clean the bayou. A limited number of canoes will be provided.
After the cleanup, participants are invited back to the Begnaud House at 11:30 am for a complimentary lunch, live music, and prizes.
