Current and future film producers in Lafayette are getting tips from an expert on how to make smart financial decisions.
A workshop was held today at the Rosa Parks Transportation Center Multi-Purpose Room for those interested in the business.
The workshop was led by producer Stu Pollard who has over 20 years of experience in independent films.
Among the topics Pollard discussed was how to properly raise funds for the making of a film.
The workshop is regularly presented in Los Angeles for a fee of $275. Through the CREATE Initiative, support from the National Endowment for the Arts, and a partnership with #CreateLouisiana, the workshop was free for participants.
