Carencro High School senior Ariel Green received a major surprise on Thursday from Amazon.
Green is one of the few students who applied for a $40,000 scholarship through her computer science class. But she didn’t just win the scholarship, Amazon also offered her an internship.
“I’m very, very proud of her,” said Sherri Green, Ariel’s mother. “She’s worked very hard, always looked forward to getting some scholarships and trying to work our way through college. So it’s very very exciting.”
