Students at Teurlings Catholic High School are showing compassion toward those who are homeless by trying to understand the struggle.
Nearly 60 students slept outside on the football field Friday night.
They say it’s a way they can raise awareness of the issue.
The students also attended Mass on the field.
Proceeds for Catholic Charities of Acadiana were collected. Catholic Charities of Acadiana helps individuals and families who are experiencing hunger, poverty and homelessness.
