The Acadiana Home Builders Association wrapped up their Acadiana Home and Design Show today.
The event, held Saturday and Sunday at the Cajundome Convention Center, features products and services from local vendors for home owners or builders to peruse.
Displays included building materials, floor treatments, energy efficiency, windows, siding, and new trends in decorating.
There also were seminars, crafts sessions for children, lessons in planting and a bouncy house, and there was a drawing for a cruise.
Erin Shedlof events coordinator and membership director for AHBA, said the annual event gives local vendors and builders to showcase their businesses.
“It’s really great, because we have seminars going on with our builders, to answer any of hte questions you may have about the process,” she said. “The importance of this show is, you are buying local, supporting builders and vendors in our area.”
