T.M. Landry College Preparatory School is being allowed to move forward with their occupancy of a building in Lafayette, according to The State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Thursday, the office released the project for construction only at the new location on Moss Street.
The marshal’s office says that the release of the project includes “remaining deficiencies that will be allowed to be addressed during construction.” That includes a plan review submission for a fire alarm system, among other things.
Officials say the cease and desist order relating to construction is lifted but the order not to occupy remains in place until construction is complete and inspections occur.
A partial occupancy of the building may be allowed as portions of construction are complete. The State Fire Marshal’s Office states that for partial occupancy to happen, a specific request needs to be approved.
