The African American Heritage Foundation unveiled the poster for its second annual parade today.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Let Freedom Ring: Peace and Unity in the Community.”

This year’s festivities are delayed because of the death of Je’Nelle Chargois, a founder of the foundation.

Bryant Benoit, of Benoit Galleries, was commissioned to create this year’s poster using the theme, incorporating culture, education/health, economics and politics – all paths to Freedom.

The gallery will have prints and signed number prints for sale.

This year’s Gala will be March 9 at Immaculate Heart of Mary. The parade will be March 17 at 2 p.m.
