Chief Chad Sonnier says the glycolic acid, being transported by that tractor-trailer was successfully transferred into another tractor and trailer.
As a result, the 800 Block of Heide Circle is now open.
Scott Fire Department, Lafayette Hazmat and LSP Hazmat Officials were able to prevent any environmental impact as a result of the leaking glycolic acid.
The driver was uninjured as a result of the single-vehicle accident.
