The students of Cathedral-Carmel School presented a showcase today called “One Nation Under God.”
The presentation, which includes art, music, band and drama, continues tomorrow.
Nichole Helo, speech and drama director at the school, said the showcase is an annual opportunity to feature the drama, music and arts departments.
“Every grade level has someone representing their grade level,” she said. “Everything is patriotic, everything shows something historical about our country, from presidents, to the history of arts, we even have line dancing. And our musical is Annie Kids.
“It’s something we do every year, to highlight the extra things that teachers and kids are doing in the classrooms, what goes beyond the book work, the paper and pencil work.”
The showcase is open to the public tomorrow for a family show at 5:30 p.m., which includes a picnic and a 7 p.m. performance of Annie Kids. The school suggests a $5 donation, which includes the picnic and the performance.
