Lafayette High’s Sign Language Club hosted Deaf Deaf World today.
It’s an annual event run by students that simulates a day in the life of a deaf person.
Visitors stop at stations including a classroom, hospital and café to experience life without hearing.
“To just appreciate how hard it is to be deaf and how hard they have to work but it’s not impossible though they eventually figure it out when they grow up,” said Alyssa Magnon, Junior at Lafayette High School.
