Acadiana Movers is encouraging local businesses to participate in their Mardi Gras Food Drive.
All food donations will go to Lafayette’s FoodNet Food Bank.
Canned and nonperishable food items, such as red beans and rice, are being accepted.
Acadiana Movers will provide collection boxes for the businesses willing to participate. Businesses would then accept donations until March 5. Acadiana Movers will then pick up the filled boxes and bring them to the FoodNet Food Bank.

Move For Hunger is a nonprofit hunger relief organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to fight hunger and reduce food waste. In addition to collecting food from people who are moving to new homes, Move For Hunger helps companies and individuals across the United States and Canada organize successful food drives. To date, they have collected nearly 13 million pounds of food – enough to provide meals for over 10 million people in need!
