UPDATE: Police say one shot in robbery at Bridgeway Apartments

Lafayette Police say one person was injured at the Bridgeway Apartments Saturday night.

The victim tells police that four people entered his apartment to commit a robbery. He was shot once in the upper body; he is listed in stable condition at a local hospital today.

The investigation into the incident remains on-going, police say.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

ORIGINAL STORY: Lafayette Police are currently on the scene of an incident at Bridgeway Apartments off of Dulles Drive.

Witnesses tell us that a person was shot near building number 3 at the complex sometime in the 9:00 hour. Police have blocked off the area between two of the buildings at the complex.

KATC has reached out to police to confirm the shooting but we have not heard back.

KATC spoke to witnesses on scene who say they saw a man laying on the ground. They believe that he was shot in the leg. There is no officials word on any injuries or if a shooting actually happened.

We will have more information as it becomes available. KATC has a crew en route to the scene.
