UPDATE: The driver of the car involved in the crash was cited for improper turning. The driver of the truck was cited for an insurance violation. Police don’t believe impairment to be a factor in the crash.

“It was very scary. I’m thankful to be ok. I was close to that truck slamming right into my back,” One customer said.

According to a spokeswoman with the Lafayette Police Department, three people inside Princess Nails were taken to the hospital. Two of the victims’ injuries were not life-threatening. The third victim is in stable condition.

“Kids were crying, it’s horrible. It was an old lady bleeding out all over the floor, it was bad,” Harry Dural said.

The crash remains under investigation.

Lafayette police are currently on the scene of a crash on Johnston Street.

First responders say the crash occurred at a business at 4547 Johnston Street.

Witnesses confirm that the business is Princess Nails. Witnesses tell KATC that the crash involved two vehicles: a car and a truck.

Brody Bouzon, a witness on scene, tells KATC that a silver car was turning into the parking lot and pushed another vehicle, a truck, into the building. Seven people were hit, including two children.

Police say injuries are not life-threatening and that three people were treated at the scene. It was unclear if anyone was transported to the hospital.

Owners tell us among the seven injured were two employees. The driver of the pickup says the silver car was turning left across Johnston Street and ran into him, sending both into the building.
