Lafayette Police say one person is in the hospital after being run over during a shooting.
Police say the shooting occurred in the 700 block of Madeline Avenue. Officers report that one person is in the hospital.
Lafayette Police Spokesperson Bridgette Dugas says that the victim, who was transported to a hospital before officers arrived, was shot at several times but was not hit with any bullets.
The suspect, according to police, allegedly ran over the victim with their vehicle. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
One person of interest is in custody but no arrests have been made.
