Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies are wrapping up the search of a coulee.
Deputies were called to the scene by a fisherman, who said he snagged a clump of hair with the roots still attached. As of 5:30 p.m. the search hadn’t turned up anything and deputies were wrapping up.
The fisherman did not keep the hair, meaning deputies can’t run any forensic tests on it, a spokesman said.
