The Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana (DSAA) presents Cool! I Can Cook! a program designed to teach people, ages 14 – adult, with Down syndrome to cook with the help of local chefs. This promotes independence, self esteem and confidence, and reinforces a positive quality of life through good eating habits, according to DSAA.
The class will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Top’s Appliances & Cabinetry, 5826 Johnston St., Lafayette.
Cost is $5.00 for repeat participant DSAA member; $10 for repeat participant non-member; and $25.00 for new participant DSAA member; $35.00 for new participant non-member.
