One Acadiana examined the STEM programs at LPSS during a luncheon on Thursday.
The group learned how the Lafayette Parish School System prepares its students for the workforce.
The principal of the W.D. Smith Career Center, Ralph Thibodeaux explained how STEM education at its campus.
“I think what I would really want people to know about us is that we’re probably one of the best-kept secrets in Lafayette Parish and that we are doing and providing, and creating professional young men and women for the future,” Thibodeaux said.
They also discussed how other schools in the parish are helping their students and businesses alike.
