The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the allegations of an inappropriate relationship between an “extracurricular moderator” and a student at St. Thomas More High School.
The Sheriff’s Office says that 27-year-old Daniel Raborn turned himself in on Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Raborn was booked into the parish jail on a charge of Prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student.
St. Thomas More and the Diocese of Lafayette began an investigation into the allegations last week.
No other details about the investigation were released. The Diocese and the school say they cannot comment on the investigation and do not comment on student and personnel issues.
