The Lafayette Police Department is asking for help in identifying a vehicle involved in a hit and run in Downtown Lafayette early Saturday.
Surveillance video shows the suspect vehicle traveling down Lee Avenue towards its intersection with Jefferson Street. Before reaching the intersection, the vehicle collides with another vehicle parked along Lee Avenue.

After a moment, the vehicle backs up and then continues on through the intersection. The owner of the parked vehicle says that the accident happened around 2:00 am while he was at work.
Police say the vehicle involved in the hit and run is possibly a blue mustang.
