This Mardi Gras season, a new group of ladies is taking to the streets with their dance moves. The group calls themselves the Lagniappe Ladies.
The ladies say this all started from a social media post. A few women decided to form a dance group, and they say the group is steadily growing.
The group meets every week to practice their dance moves, and some women say although they don’t have much rhythm, they are having a good time making friends. The ladies will have special costumes just in time for several different parades.
The ladies will practice every Wednesday night up until Mardi Gras. They say it’s not too late to join, and their dance is simple and won’t take much catching up.
