The first day of 2019 is nearly over, but we wanted to hear from Acadiana about your New Year’s goals and resolutions.

Many people rang in the new year with fireworks and surrounded by friends and family. Here at KATC, though, we wanted to check in with you about your 2019 resolutions.

“I want to go swimming and get my bathing suit,” Ellie Grace Leblanc said.

While Ellie Grace is looking forward to a dive in the pool, others want their swimsuit bodies, too.

“Of course, the basic ones, like eating healthy and working out more. I actually work at a gym, so it’s kind of a little more motivation to go work out more and live a healthier lifestyle,” Olivia Broussard said.

With a healthy lifestyle also comes a lifestyle change for Taevion Colar and D’Aziah Robertson, who are serving our country.

“We both just got finished with AIT.” When asked if he was excited or nervous, Robertson replied,”I’m excited.”

“I’m looking forward to making money and becoming a better person and just growing off of what happened in 2018,” Jodi Quinn said.

Others across Acadiana say they want to work out more and simply live a better life.

“My New Year’s resolution is just becoming a better self and becoming a better me. The only person that I ever have to deal with is me,” Adrian Charles said.

KATC reporter Justice Henderson says her resolution is simply to try more Cajun treasures in Acadiana.
