UPDATE: Police identify suspect in Lafayette package thefts

UPDATE: Police say the suspect has been identified and that officers are applying for a warrant for his arrest.


The Lafayette Police Department is looking for a man believed to be responsible for several package thefts in the Lafayette area.

The suspect, according to police, was caught on surveillance cameras at a home in the 200 block of Aurore Avenue in Lafayette. The package theft occurred there on Friday, December 21 at around 1:30 pm. The homeowner says the suspect was driving a black Toyota (pictured below).

Lafayette Police say the suspect’s vehicle has been seen on other home surveillance devices in areas where packages have been reported stolen or missing. Police believe the suspect may be responsible for those thefts.
