The Kiwanis Club of Lafayette held their 43rd annual Operation Magi to help children in need this holiday season.
Dozens of members from the Kiwanis group shopped with children at the Wal-mart on Pinhook Road Saturday morning.
The children in need were identified by the Lafayette Parish School Board, to make sure they have a little of “what they want and what they need” under the tree this holiday season. The children were able to choose what they want, check it out, and leave with their presents.
Operation Magi is funded by money raised during their annual football jamboree held at Cajun Field each
year.
