UPDATE: Youngsville Highway has reopened following a Wednesday morning gas leak.

Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux says that Youngsville Highway/La.89 between Heart D Farm and Fortune roads is closed at this time due to a gas line leak.
Police are asking that motorists use an alternate route until the issue is resolved. The estimated time to repair is about four hours, according to Boudreaux.
