Lafayette City-Parish Council denies property tax breaks to two local companies

Two local companies will not get tax breaks they requested.

According to The Advocate, the Lafayette City-Parish Council denied the requests from Stuller Inc. and from Advance Products and Systems.

The program gives tax breaks on certain investments in exchange for job creation.

The council has rejected all four applications for the program since local approval became a requirement.
