Carencro’s Country Christmas event is in full swing.
The 21st annual event is going on at the city’s community center where you’ll find sweet treats, arts and crafts, and local vendors for your holiday shopping needs.
Myrtle Place French immersion students will be there, performing Christmas carols.
The seasonal event is sponsored by the Carencro Business Association. City officials say not only does the event kick-start the Christmas season, but it’s a good way to showcase local businesses and the community of Carencro.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a toy donation. Festivities last until 3 p.m.
