UPDATE: The Lafayette Fire Department says that Ambassador and Dulles Drive is still closed as crews work to clean up after a crash Friday morning but should open shortly.

Officials say that the crash caused a leak of Phosphoric acid which closed down the road for several hours. Officials say that hazmat had to unload the acid from the vehicle and clean the area which caused the closure and rerouting of traffic near the scene.

KATC has reached out to officials who say the roadway should be reopened by 5:00 pm
