Moncus Park is getting a little greener with the addition of some trees.
The additions are cypress trees which have been newly planted. On Moncus Park’s Facebook, trees are expected to be planted in the hundreds.
Officials say the earthwork is done, the pond is filling up which prompted the planting the first cypress trees.
The park is expected to get a lot greener in the coming months as more trees and grass are added.
“We can’t thank you enough for all your support. You helped make this dream a reality!” a newsletter on the park’s progress stated.
