Today is Veterans Day, and some in Acadiana are honoring and remembering those who served, or are currently serving, in the military.
Progressive Baptist Church in Lafayette dedicated their Sunday service to veterans.
Comeaux High, Acadiana High, and JROTC Magnet Academy cadets lead a flag procession. Sister Brenda Prejean sang “God Bless America,” which was followed by a presentation of colors.
Elsewhere in Lafayette, the staff at St. Joseph Hospice are paying their respects to veterans they have served who have passed.
A memorial ceremony was held today at The Carpenter House. Boy Scouts lead a flag procession while an orchestra played.
