Lafayette Crime Stoppers needs your help in identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for several vehicle burglaries in the Lafayette area.

In September, the suspect was observed breaking into several vehicles near the 200 block of Long Plantation Boulevard, police say.

Some of the vehicles the suspect got into were left unlocked, but in some cases, the suspect allegedly broke the windows to enter the locked vehicle.

During one of the vehicle burglaries, the suspect allegedly stole two firearms that were left inside a vehicle.

He was captured on surveillance video during one of the vehicle burglaries.

Police say removing valuable items from your vehicle, especially from plain sight, is vital in stopping these crimes of opportunity.

If you have any information about this crime or you know the identity of the suspect, call Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS, or you can submit your tip by using the P3 TIPS mobile app. All tipsters remain anonymous and can earn up to a $1,000-cash reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
