Police say a pedestrian is dead following a crash in Lafayette Saturday evening.
Officers responded to the crash on North University Avenue, near Madeline Avenue, at 6:47 p.m.
According to a spokeswoman with the Lafayette Police Department, 41-year-old Santos Delgado was killed after he walked into the road for unknown reasons and was hit by a truck.
The driver of the truck was not cited nor arrested; however, the investigation remains ongoing.
