Those in Carencro are showing their appreciation for local veterans ahead of Veterans Day.
On Saturday, current and former members of the military were honored during a ceremony at the city’s Veterans Memorial.
The ceremony also gave a special recognition to Vietnam War veterans.
“Well, today’s celebration marks an opportunity for the city and community of Carencro to pay homage and thank all of those veterans who made it possible for us to be able to gather like this in a free society,” said event organizer Lee Verret.
