LAFAYETTE – (PRESS RELEASE) There are just a few days left to sign up and receive the early registration fee for the 16th Annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana’s Gleaux Run. Early registration ends Sunday, November 11.
Registration will remain open until the day of the event, Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 21. Participants registered after 6:00 p.m. on November 21 will not be timed or eligible for race awards.
Camellia Crossing: Acadiana’s Gleaux Run is a great way for families to come together on Thanksgiving Eve to give thanks and support local families fighting cancer. The nighttime 1-mile walk and 5K run fill Camellia Boulevard with gleauxing runners and walkers. A variety of gleaux gear will be provided to each participant. Participants are encouraged to get creative while “getting their gleaux on.”
Since 2002, Miles Perret Cancer Services has provided hope and support to over 15,000 local families. All services are provided at no cost, thanks to the generosity of the local community and events like Camellia Crossing. Proceeds raised during the event will make a direct impact on local families coping with a cancer diagnosis.
