Four teens booked in Duson shooting

Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested four people in connection with the Duson shooting that left a man dead.

Zy’Shonne Rubin, 18, and Dontrell Clark, 18, were booked Sunday with first-degree murder. No bond has been set for their release as of yet. Deputies also arrested two juveniles in the investigation, but their names were not released because of their ages. They also were booked with first-degree murder.

The shooting happened in Friday night. Ethan Smith, 29, was found shot outside of his home in the Pecan Acres Mobile Home Village, near the intersection of Toby Mouton Road and Carroll Lane.

Smith was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Duson Police requested that the LPSO take over the investigation.
