LPSS says a student at Acadian Middle School was arrested for bringing a knife to school.
Officials say that Friday morning, October 26, 2018, it was reported to administrators that a student was in possession of a knife.
Administrators questioned the student, who they say admitted to having a knife, according to LPSS.
The weapon was retrieved and secured by a resource officer.
The juvenile was arrested by the Lafayette Police Department and disciplined by the school according to the district’s disciplinary guidelines.
No students were injured by the knife.
