The Acadiana Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association held its food and wine soiree Thursday
23 restaurants participated in the fundraiser for pro-start education, a program designed to get high school students into the culinary field.
The event tonight was held at the UL Alumni Center on UL’s campus.
“The state of Louisiana’s largest employer is restaurants. We’re the third largest employer in the country. The National Restaurant Association in conjunction with our chapter is always in the market to bring up additional people and to train young people in the program, said John O’Meara board member of the Louisiana Restaurant Association.
