The investigation is continuing into an accident that happened Saturday during Southside High School’s homecoming.
Youngsville Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux said the accident happened on Almonaster Road on Saturday night. One driver turned left, into the path of an oncoming vehicle. He said both drivers and a passenger were transported to local hospitals, but no serious injuries were reported. Both vehicles appeared to be totaled, he added.
Boudreaux said there were two students in one car, and an adult in the other. He said the investigating officers are still interviewing drivers and witnesses and the investigation isn’t yet complete.
Boudreaux said he believes the two students had been to the dance or were going to the dance.
