Lafayette Regional Airport is hosting the 29th Annual Aviation Fun Day tomorrow.
The event will be from 9 a.m. – 1 a.m. at the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting station, located at the end of Jet Ranger X Drive (formerly Tower Drive).
Aviation Fun Day is a fun and educational way to show kids the operations and behind-the-scenes daily activities of a commercial airport.
As of Friday, over 300 kids have been registered for the event. Registration is full, but if you’d like to be added to the waiting list, call (337) 266-4401.
In addition to games and activities, kids will see a firefighting demonstration from the ARFF team and get a bus tour of the airfield, which begins at 10:45 a.m.
Lunch will be provided.
