the Lafayette Parish Water District South has rescinded the boil water advisory issued to customers on Thursday, October 11.
The District says that pressure has been restored within the water supply system and that water samples tested negative for any coliform bacteria.
Water is once again safe for consumption. The boil advisory was issued only as a precaution as crews worked to repair a break in the line.
Affected customers lived along the following streets:
