Trunk or Treat event tonight in Broussard

Macaroni Kid and St. Julien Park celebrate fall tonight with a Trunk or Treat event.

The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. at the park on St. Nazaire Road, behind the red baseball pod.

The free family event features businesses set up to hand out candy to visiting kids. There also will be fun jumps provided by Youngsville Jumps, face painting, and Todd with Gumbo Entertainment is an interactive DJ who gets the kids dancing with games and challenges. There will be a photo booth, Fortnite dance competitions hosted by YouTubers Sibling Static, an electric train to ride and a costume contest at 7:30 pm.

Concessions will be open and in addition to their normal items they will have red beans & rice and blackened chicken pasta for $6 a bowl.

The event’s sponsors are: Macaroni Kid, St. Julien Park, Courtesy Cheverolet & Cadillac, Babineaux Family Dentistry, Ray Bourque for Mayor, Brannon Decou for Chief of Police, and Jeff Delahoussaye for Councilman At Large – City of Broussard.

Vendors participating in Trunk or Treat 2018 include: Broussard Fire Dept, Pizza Artista, Sola Gymnastics, Acadian Total Security, Landrineau Physiotherapy, State Farm Insurance, Zoo-Zoom Petting Zoo, All Aboard Party Headquarters, Feldman Orthodontics, Fezzos, Raising Canes, Hooters, Board & Brush, Reward a Youth, Magnolia Family Chiropractic, NB Wellness, Levena Paintball, La Quinta Inn, Music Academy of Acadiana, Sola Construction, Schlumberger, Big Boy Toys & Hobbies, Feh de Shoetique, Rise Chiropractic, William Darr DDS, First Baptist Church, Wingspan Training, A Strand Above Boutique, Babineaux Family Dentistry, Courtesy Chevrolet, Ray Bourque for Mayor, Brannon Decou Chief of Police, and Jeff Delahoussaye Councilmen at Large, Guidry Real Estate.

The event lasts until 8:30 p.m.
