We are two days away from the start of Festivals Acadiens et Creoles and volunteers are getting ready for the big weekend.
Festival leaders trained volunteers during an orientation event at Girard Park, Wednesday night. Volunteer slots are still available and festival organizers say it’s not too late to sign up.
“Without the volunteers, festival doesn’t happen. We need people to be able to sell tickets so our customers can enjoy the beer and the cokes. We have food and merchandise as well. We need someone to help in all those areas,” said volunteer coordinator Kelly Stewart.
