The man arrested out of state in connection with a fatal shooting on Lafayette Street is now in the Lafayette Parish Jail.
26-year-old Brent Johnson was apprehended in Auburn, Washington last month with help from the United States Marshals Service of Tacoma Washington, United States Marshals Service Violent Offender Task Force Louisiana and the Lafayette Police Department Special Investigations Unit.
Police say Johnson played a part in the September 6, 2018 shooting death of 39-year-old Jason J. Carbins. Read more here.
Johnson is facing a second-degree murder charge.
